The time of day is important - more "ups and downs" in women

As the director of the Pain Clinic of Kiel, Professor Dr. Hartmut Goebel explains, varies the pain perception in the course of day. Fluctuations between day and night are higher in women than in men. On the day there are no gender differences, however: The sensation of pain in both sexes is at 10.00 clock most mornings, afternoons only one third as intense. One reason why this time of day, for example, to visit the dentist particularly favorable. Drugs are also depending on the time of ingestion quite different. Thus, the effectiveness of painkillers evening significantly stronger than the morning.
