Beware of inflamed gums!

Once again a bad witness was the Germans recently in the Third German oral health study issued: Less than one third of respondents could be confirmed for a "good oral hygiene" knocking on the shoulders.
The class goal was old hat: at least twice daily - after a meal or before bedtime  at least two minutes brushing.
The Society for Period ontology reports that as much as 80 to 90 percent of Germans under gingival inflammation (gingivitis) suffer. This inflammation can - as well as inflammation of the tooth Betts the tooth restraint apparatus so much damage that ultimately threatens tooth loss. The first signs, such as lugging around gingival bleeding, can therefore have serious consequences.
The cause of such infections is bacteria in the mouth. The number these germs through a highly neglected oral hygiene can inflammation of the gums and teeth bed occurs. The bacteria responsible form coverings (plaques) on the tooth surfaces and irritate the gum by the release of toxins from their metabolism. The increased bodies own defense then leads to inflammation of the characters. Will initially have soft plaque is not removed regularly, can by storage of minerals form tartar. This promotes a growth of the plaque at the gum rubbers edge, and thus the development of gum pockets, which are now themselves bacteria can provide protection.
Starting from this chronic infection, the tooth bone bed by further reducing destroyed. Long-term needs not only the tooth restraint apparatus affected. According to dental studies, the aggressive bacteria yet another threat to the human body represents: studies suggest. That the risk for heart attacks around the two-fold increase, for stroke is almost the same level. The risk for a premature birth increased even seven times. These are good reasons why the germs life as difficult as possible.
